Jon Favreau dirigirá a Ryan Reynolds en ‘Battle for Bonneville’

New Regency se ha hecho con los derechos de ‘Battle for Bonneville’, cinta basada en la verdadera historia de los hermanastros amantes de la velocidad Art y Walt Arfons, un guión escrito por Dan Gilroy (‘The Bourne Legacy’) cuya historia se basa en la rivalidad de estos dos hombres por convertirse en el más rápido del mundo utilizando diversos vehículos impulsados con motores a reacción. Ambos terminaron aunando fuerzas para alcanzar su meta llegando a batir el récord mundial de landspeed hasta en tres ocasiones.
Para impulsar el proyecto, el estudio ha contratado a dos importantes nombres en Hollywood como son Jon Favreau (‘Iron Man’ películas) para dirigir el film y Ryan Reynolds (‘Buried’) para protagonizarlo dando vida a uno de los hermanos Arfons. El próximo paso será anunciar el resto del elenco antes de comenzar su producción en los próximos meses.
Favreau dirigirá en breve su siguiente proyecto, ‘Jersey Boys’ para Warner Bros., mientras que en su faceta de actor le veremos en ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ e ‘Iron Man 3’. Por su parte a Reynolds lo vimos hace unos meses en ‘El invitado’ (‘Safe House’ que próximamente tendrá secuela) y también en forma de cameo en ‘Ted’. Su próximo proyecto como protagonista será ‘R.I.P.D.’, adaptación cinematográfica de la novela gráfica de Peter M. Lenkov que llegará a las pantallas el 19 de julio de 2013.

guys whose careers both took a bit of a bruising in the summer of 2011 with two tentpoles that were critically reviled and underperformed, are teaming up for a project that will hopefully see them reversing their fortunes together.
company New Regency is getting ready to put some ink on a contract for «Battle For Bonneville,» a project that has Ryan Reynolds («Green Lantern») attached to star, with Jon Favreau(«Cowboys & Aliens») to direct. The project is a bit different for the pair — particularly for Favreau who is pretty content in tentpole land — telling the true story of rivals and brothers, Art and Walt Arfons, who decide to Voltron their skills, build a jet-powered motorcyle and break the land speed record three times. So it’s like that scene in «The Master»…..but faster.
As is usual with this stuff, this is all wrapped up nicely to present to investors, but lord knows if these guys will stay involved. Reynolds has a busy slate coming up with a role in Atom Egoyan’s «Queen of the NIght» set to shoot early next year, with Marjane Satrapi’s absurd dark comedy «The Voices» also contending for his attention and gearing up for a 2013 shoot. Meanwhile, Favreau was recently confirmed to helm the big screen version of the hit musical «Jersey Boys» and that’s a priority project over at GK Films, and we’d wager it is for him too.

Reynolds en conversaciones para ‘The Voices’ de Mandalay Vision

EXCLUSIVO: Mandalay Vision y Vertigo Entertainment están en conversaciones iniciales con Ryan Reynolds para protagonizar ‘The Voices’, un thriller psicológico que será dirigido por Marjane Satrapi y con un libreto de Michael R. Perry de ‘Paranormal Activity’. El guionista hizo ‘Black List’, y Marjane Satrapi consiguió una nominación al Oscar a la Mejor Película Animada por su primer film ‘Persepolis’, una adaptación de su novela semi-autobiográfica.
Mandalay Vision está financiando la película, y Matthew Rodas y Cathy Schulman de Mandalay Vision están produciendo con Roy Lee de Vertigo Entertainment y el vicepresidente de Mandalay Vision Adam Stone. La película comienza la producción a principios del año que viene.
Reynolds está en conversaciones para interpretar a Jerry Hickfang, un amable pero extraño operario de una fábrica de bañeras que anhela la atención de una mujer en la sección contabilidad. Reynolds Circling ‘The Voices’ For Mandalay Vision

EXCLUSIVE: Mandalay Vision and Vertigo Entertainment are in early talks with Ryan Reynolds to star in ‘The Voices’, a psychological thriller that will be directed by Marjane Satrapi from a script by Paranormal Activity’s Michael R. Perry. The script made the Black List, and Satrapi got an Oscar nom for Best Animated Feature for her first film ‘Persepolis’, adapted from her semi-autobiographical novel.
Vision is financing the film, and with Mandalay Vision’s Matthew Rhodes and Cathy Schulman are producing with Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee and Mandalay Senior Vice President Adam Stone. The film begins production early next year.

When their relationship takes a sudden murderous turn, Jerry’s evil talking cat and benevolent talking dog lead him down a fantastical path that ultimately brings him to salvation.

Aunque la estrella de ‘Gossip Girl’ Blake Lively se casó con nuestro esposo Ryan Reynolds hace casi un mes, no fue hasta hace poco que su certificado de matrimonio fue revelado. Sabemos, son lindos y dulces juntos y se ven muy bien uno en brazos del otro, pero estamos seguros de que al menos una de estas cosas está sucediendo en este momento:
1) Millones de chicas lo están imprimiendo y borrando el nombre de Blake (o de Ryan – no juzgamos a), poniendo el suyo y colgándolo en sus paredes. No nosotros, por supuesto. Eso sería ridículo… ¿Por qué me lo preguntas?, ¿Ves que nosotros lo hagamos?
2) Su loca «amiga» ha copiado las direcciones, comprado pasajes para Beverly Hills y Nueva York, y está tratando de localizar a la pareja JUSTO AHORA. Lo siento, chicos. Ninguna de las direcciones indicadas pertenecen a la hermosa pareja – esas son sólo oficinas de los abogados.
3) Fogatas. Montones y montones de fogatas. Después de imprimir el certificado que prueba de que su vida ha terminado, bandadas de chicas/chicos los queman en horrible, atroz tristeza, clamando a los dioses genéticos por qué la vida es tan injusta. Puede o no puede haber una escasez en todo el continente (Ryan es canadiense, les recuerdo) de helado Rocky road (helado de chocolate, nueces y malvaviscos). Porque es verdad, amigos. Sabíamos que estaban casados, pero ahora hay pruebas.
Es dulce que la hermana de Blake y su cuñado, fueran los testigos. Y bueno, al menos tienes una copia de la firma de Blake ahora para poner junto con el mechón de pelo rubio que «encontraste» en eBay…

‘Gossip Girl’ starlet Blake Lively married our husband Ryan Reynolds almost a month ago, it wasn’t until recently that their marriage certificate was revealed. We know, they’re cute and sweet together and damn they look good on one another’s arm, but we’re pretty sure at least one of these things is happening right now:
1) Millions of girls are printing it out, and whiting out Blake’s (or Ryan’s — we don’t judge) name and putting their own in and hanging it on their walls. Not us, of course. That would be ridiculous… Why do you ask, did you see us do it?
2) Your crazy «friend» has copied down the addresses, purchased tickets to both Beverly Hills and New York, and is trying to track down the couple RIGHT NOW. Sorry, kids. Neither address listed belongs to the beautiful couple — those are just the lawyers’ boxes.
3) Fires. Lots and lots of fires. After printing out the proof that your life is over certificate, gaggles of girls/boys are burning them in horrible, crippling sadness, crying out to the genetic gods that life is so unfair. There may or may not be a continent-wide shortage (Ryan’s Canadian, remember) of rocky road ice cream. Because it’s true folks. We knew they were married, but now there’s proof.
Is sweet that Blake’s sister and brother-in-law were the witnesses. And hey, at least you have a copy of Blake’s signature now to go with the lock of blonde hair you “found” on eBay…
