Robbie Williams anunció por su blog que ya es padre por primera vez de una niña.
El cantante británico recibió el martes 18 de septiembre a Theodora Rose Williams quien llegó al mundo con siete libras y cuatro onzas (3,300 kilos), reportó la agencia AFP. La bebé es el fruto de la relación de Williams con la actriz estadounidense Ayda Field.
“La bebé, papá y mamá están ‘rockeando’… gracias por sus mensajes”, escribió Williams de 38 años.
Los mensajes de amigos no se hicieron esperar y uno de estos vino de su compañero de la banda Take That,Gary Barlow, cuyo cuarto hijo, reporta AFP, nació sin vida en agosto. “Muchas felicidades a Rob y Ayda. Estoy muy feliz por ustedes”, dijo via Twitter.
Williams y Field desean que Teddy, como apodan a la niña, crezca en Gran Bretaña. “No quiero educar a nuestra bebé en Los Ángeles porque prefiero que crezca con sensibilidades inglesas”, dijo, según reportó AFP.

La pequeña, que pesó 3,300 kg, nació este martes en un lugar no precisado por el cantante. «El bebé, su mamá y su papá están rocanroleando», agregó Robbie agradeciendo los mensajes de felicitación publicados en redes sociales y en su blog.
A través de Twitter, el compositor de Take That, Gary Barlow, quien perdió en agosto a una niña al nacer que hubiera sido su cuarto hijo, escribió: «Felicidades masivas a Rod y Ayda. Muy feliz por vosotros».
Theodora es la primera hija tanto para Robbie Williams como para Ayda Field, que contrajeron matrimonio en agosto de 2010.
Robbie Williams, que ha vendido alrededor de 65 millones de discos, saltó a la fama con Take That, agrupación que abandonó por primera vez en 1995, pero cultivando más éxitos con su carrera como solista.
El cantante se dispone a lanzar un nuevo álbum en solitario, «Take the Crown», que llegará a las tiendas el próximo 5 de noviembre.

Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda has given birth to a baby girl.
The Take That star took to his Twitter page on Tuesday night to announce the pair had welcomed baby Theodora Rose Williams into the world.
Announcing the happy news on his blog, Robbie wrote: ‘Praise be, it’s Theodora Rose Williams, affectionately known as Teddy….. Born 3.33pm on 18.9.12, 7Ibs 4oz…
‘Baby, Mummy and Daddy are all rockin…. Thank you for your best wishes XXXX.’
It is the first child for the couple, who married two years ago.
Following the birth, Robbie’s Take That bandmate Gary Barlow was quick to lead the congratulations to the singer and his wife.
He tweeted: ‘Massive congrats Rob and Ayda. So happy for you.’
Boyzone singer Ronan Keating tweeted: ‘Congrats to Robbie Williams and Ayda.’ And Chris Moyles wrote on his Twitter page: ‘Congratulations Robbie & Ayda!’
And singer and actor Jonathan Wilkes, who is a long-standing friend of Williams, said: ‘Right bed time !!! Got a big day Tommrow I’m meeting a new little lady !! X’
Robbie recently expressed concern he could miss his baby’s birth due to his concert schedule over its birth due date.
He told radio DJ Chris Evans last week: ‘I’ve had a bit of a falling out with the wife.’
He continued: ‘So I’ve got gigs this week, the baby could come at any minute, the wife has said, «If I go into labour and you’ve got a gig in say Leeds or Dublin, you’ve got to cancel it and come home.» ‘
Robbie recently revealed the couple had chosen a name for their daughter and was pleased it was a traditional moniker.
He said: ‘Right now I’m ecstatic. We do have a name but we’re not going to get it out in case it gets tweeted.
‘And as a celebrity we’re supposed to call them Aubergine or something like that aren’t we?
‘I do have a sort of celebrity name but it’s not Apple-esque. It’s a very solid, old-school name.’
Robbie also said he is planning to move back to England from Los Angeles because he doesn’t want his daughter to go to school with the ‘f***ing idiots’ in the city although he admitted he and American born Ayda are still discussing their future living arrangements.
He said: ‘I don’t want to educate our baby in LA because I would much prefer her to have English sensibilities.
‘They are idiots in L.A. schools. They are f***ing idiots. They are a breed of idiots that only exist in Los Angeles and she would be surrounded by them. It’s not like one or two either. It’s not like the Big Brother house, where you pick the worst ones.
‘I think kids there have a massive sense of entitlement, are dull and dumb. It means me coming back to the UK for good but I can live with that. It’s worth being pestered for her to have a good school.
‘I want the baby to have an English passport, we’re still figuring out exactly whereabouts the baby is going to be brought up.
‘I had a conversation with the wife last night about where we’re going to end up but we still don’t know.’

Robbie’s latest album, In And Out Of Consciousness, has rocketed to No.1 in the UK album charts in its first week of release and he has written a few words to thank you all for its amazing success.

Londres, 7 ago (EFE).- El cantante británico Robbie Williams contraerá matrimonio hoy, con la actriz estadounidense Ayda Field en una íntima ceremonia en la isla de Santa Catalina, a 32 kilómetros de la costa de Los Ángeles, informa "The Sun".
Según el periódico, el cantante, de 36 años, y su pareja, de 31, han planeado una romántica boda en esa isla frecuentada por parejas y sólo han invitado a un número reducido de familiares y amigos, a quienes comunicaron la cita la semana pasada.
"The Sun" explica que Robbie, que acaba de regresar con la banda con la que se hizo famoso, "Take that" -cuyos miembros al parecer no asistirán al enlace por encontrarse de vacaciones-, conoció a la actriz y humorista estadounidense en el 2006, a través de amigos comunes.
Se vieron en secreto durante seis meses, hasta que el propio periódico reveló su relación en el 2007.
Según el rotativo, ambos comparten su afición por el avistamiento de objetos volantes no identificados (OVNIS), y se pasan semanas de acampada en el desierto californiano mirando el cielo.
Antes de sentar cabeza con esta relación, Williams, que ha tenido graves problemas de drogadicción, salió con decenas de chicas más o menos famosas, entre ellas la cantante canadiense de "All Saints" Nicole Appleton -actualmente casada con el ex "Oasis" Liam Gallagher-, la actriz estadounidense Cameron Diaz y la ex "Spice girl" Geri Halliwell.
